Looking China International Youth Film Project 2016 is a cross-cultural communication project which is sponsored by Huilin Foundation and hosted by AICCC(Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture).This program aims to record Chinese centuries-old culture through the unique angles of the young filmmakers and their camera lenses,to rise the influence of Chinese culture in international stage,and to increase the exchanges between Chinese and foreign youths.By the end of 2016,Looking China project has already been hosted for six times successfully.302 young filmmakers from 45 universities and countries have been invited to participate in the project,and they have landed in 21 provinces and cities in China and finished 301 films.Since more than 40 international awards have been won,Looking China project has caught the public's attention and won full recognition from country leaders and great support from relevant ministries and commissions.The interpreting practice is done on the basis of Interpretive Theory of Translation which is proposed by the Interpretive Theory.Interpretive Theory of Translation is the first systematic theory in interpreting field which set up the standards of interpreting reasonably.The research target of this theory is not only for language shifting but for the transmission of cultural the meaning.From the perspective of Interpretive Theory of Translation,there are three phrases in interpreting activity;they are understanding,deverbalization and interpretation.The first phrase understanding means that the interpreters have to fully understand the content and meaning of the source language,and the second phrase is a cognitive process which requires the interpreter to pay attention to the meaning behind the language,and then comes the last phrase which interprets the meaning of the source language through his own understanding and words.Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory of Translation,the translator completed the Looking China International Youth Film Project.There are two parts in this practice;they are interpreting practice report and translation.The interpreting practice reported is divided into 5 parts.The first part is the introduction and the significance of Looking China Project;the second part is the previous preparation of the interpreting;the third and forth parts are the core of the report,and they are the introduction of the guide theory and case analysis of the interpreting practice;the last part is the summary of the whole interpreting practice.The Looking China Project has increased foreign youths' understanding aboutChinese culture;meanwhile,they also have introduced Chinese culture to the world.There are four films about Xinjiang edited by four foreign filmmakers.Among them two have won the Best Cultural Discovery prize and the third prize of the Golden Lenses award respectively.There is no doubt that these four films make more people see the beauty of China and the beauty of Xinjiang.
