Croce Knowledge About Intuitive Thought Research

Croce is one of the representatives of western philosophy of mind,his intuitive t hought,which serves as the spiritual pillar and guiding ideology of his works,runs th rough almost all of his works.For a long period,rational knowledge occupies a predo minant position in western epistemology and even sorne other fields.The excessive po rsuit of rational knowledge makes people gradually lost the signifinance of teleanomy,turning people into a disaster.Based on the reflection of the misery and disater peop le have faced,Croce put forward his intutive thought to lunched a thorough critique t oward the traditional rational knowledge.This paper mainly the Croce’s intutive thought and traditional rational knowledge’s different views about art,language and history,and pointed out the practical significa nce of intuitive thought,so that people can have a deeper understanging of Croce’s in tuitive thought.Specifically,Croce deem that intuition is a kind of initial,individual a nd creative mental activity.Therefore,in Croce’s works,his intuitive thought mainly e mbodied as the critique and negation of the traditional rational knowledge.In the aspe ct of art,he denied that art is the knowledge of reason,substance and external skill,and insisted that art is the embodyment of intuitive knowledge and the understanding of form and entirety,in the aspect of language,he insisted that language is the manfe station of intuitive knowledge and poem,or a kind of creative activity.He oppsed to the logicalized understanging of language,in the aspect of history,he opposed to treat history ao rational knowledge such like traditional philosophy of history,positivism h istory,theory of causation and empirical finalism.He oppose to the inane narration an d empirical finalism.He oppose to the inane narration of history and deemed history as intuitive knowledge.Croce’s intuitive thought has a positive influence on the confro ntation of the tragitional philosophy of dualism,contributing to individual interpretation and spiritual perfection and development,meanwhile,it also has its defects such as t he sanctification of intuitive thought,the tendency of irrationalism and subjective ideali sm.In short,compared with the traditional rational thought,althought Croce’s intuitive thought has its own defects,it offered us a new perspective on the understanding ofphilosophy and world,and it also provided us a theoretical foundation to break throug h the traditional thinking model and rational thinking.
