Zhong Yiwen,a Malaysian Chinese writer based in Taiwan in the nineties to the modern era.Zhong, has backed the fame of being Malaysian-Taiwan most distinguished prose writer and so became the most outstanding new star.Standing at the Malaysian-Taiwan's position,Zhong, has the freedom to express her experiences in both countries in which this has attracted majority of the Taiwanese's scholars interest in pursuing more research concerning herself and her literary works. One of her best and heart's captivation is her expression in relations to the two countries where she experiences most,so far as to express her depression, homesick and personal feelings.Zhong has fallen in love with the virgin tropical rainforest of Malaysia which has led her to freely and optimistically express her personality. On the other side of her, especially so during her childhood,Zhong has experienced the traditional believe of highly regard son but be little daughters as well as male chauvinism in her big family circle. As such, this has led her to suffer from being suppressed and has lost care, concern, and blessings from her parents. In addition to that she was forced to take up the big responsibility of taking care of her younger brothers and sisters.Because of life bitterness, she wanted so much to run away from this cage that caused her so much of compelling imprints in her life.Upon her hardwork, the 19-year old Zhong buckled up her confidence to run to Taiwan to study in spite of opposition from her parents. As she was alone in the foreign land, and as she began to look at her other half part of her life, she started to gaze upon her growth and life maturity. On the other hand, having had brought up in the oil palm environment and having had the challenging experiences,Zhong who loves freedom found that she was in inharmonious with the life in Taipei, and as a result, again another time she ran away from this city life and had her half life spent in Xindian,Taiwan. As such,as opportunity came, she decided to settled down in Zhongli and started to soak herself in writing realism.Only by leaving “home”,one could reflect upon the meaning of the past and due to this,Zhong,at one point constantly to and forth to Malaysia by way of having holiday or for work purpose. And the process, slowly she found her true home, slowly she confirmed that her true home is Zhongli and no anymore in Malaysia,Malaysia was the bygone. As the representative for the third Chinese generation in Malaysia, and being capable as a scholar, she recognises a rationalised perspective, she chose to see things from the open-minded perspective, detached herself from the old-self and no more confined to her past or confine her writing within the Chinese culture, having done so she finally took back from her ancestors her self-confidence and the right to freedom and also transformed herself into a totally “Malaysia-Chinese” new generation, and so established herself as a multi-cultural writer. Her prose went through from childhood, life in the city, trifle in feminism, slowly impacted the quest of arts extended towards the society, and the complexity yet prosperous life's nature. This thesis is based upon the prose written by Zhong Yiwen, and is accessed based upon four angles mainly her spiritual experience in her native land, realism in her native land, cultural experience in her native land and also her style of writing. The main method used to probe into the reason behind the negligence of cultural bona fide is first by generalizing the process of her work and then from the spiritual content and later penetrate into her life's realism, mixed upon the psychology practice, narrative practice, humanism, geography and feminism to mention a few.
