The Research On "Shai" Family Words In Internet

In recent years,the free and open internet space becomes an important base for language to give birth to.In september 2006,A Yi,the associate professor of Peking University,published his salary on the blog,which is therefore called “Shai salary” by the netizen.Since then,the atmosphere of “Shai” is formed on the internet.People also would like to make new phrases with the word “Shai”.Under the internet context,phrases like “Shai food” “Shai mood” and “Shai happiness” come into the stage and become popular rapidly.The phrase structure “Shai X” stably becomes productive.The object of study in this paper is the phrase structure “Shai X”,which is generated by the internet.This paper call it “Shai” family words on the network.The morpheme “Shai” is regarded as the common formal feature.The phrase structure “Shai X” is regarded as a fixed sturcture.By filling in the blank “Shai X”,some new words and phrases are produced.This words have the same morpheme “Shai” and common structure “Shai X”.They each other have the same family and eventually formed a word family.In this paper,I firstly comb the history of “shai”,then to explore the source and performance of the meaning of the “Shai”.“Shai” comes from “Pu”,by extension the meaning of “make things drying in the sun”,the meaning of “Shai” has increased.After entering the Internet age,the meaning of “shai” becomes more abundant,includes “display” “share” “in public” “show off” “expose” “confide”.Secondly,the author collects and sorts out the “shai” family words from the dictionary,the internet and the previous studies,which is based on the theories of lexicology,sociolinguistics,psycholinguistics,and other related linguistic theories.In addition,from phonetics,grammar and semantic aspects give “Shai” family words a static description,then summarize the characteristics of the present rules in these three aspects.Thirdly,this paper discuss its pragmatic value.The “Shai” family words on the internet have productivity,moderinty and epidemicity features.In the application of these words,they can present novel and unique,concise and clear,euphemistic and implicit language expression values.Moreover,these words can highlight people's shared psychology,make public psychology,demands psychology and entertainment multilayer psychology.Finally,from the language,social and culture dimensions to explore the derivate mechanism of the “Shai” family words.It is produced by the restriction of the language internal factors,the nurture of the society and the cultivation of the culture.This paper insists on the combination of description and explication,diachronic and synchronic of research methods.Multi-angle,all-round analysis “Shai” family words,and expect to present the apperance of “Shai” family words in internet.
