The Study On "Liaozhai Drama" Of Qing Dynasty

Strange tales of a lonely studio is the most outstanding short classical Chinese novels in ancient China,since its was published,has attracted considerable attention of literati.stories in Liaozhai adapted into traditional opera and was performed on the stage.Liaozhai dramas were loved by audience,so far,there are many LiaoZhai dramas were played on modern stage.This paper aim at studying the traditional opera what adapted from the stories in Lizaozhai in Qing Dynasty.In the introduction,author discussed the present situation of the research on the Liaozhai drama and make a summary about its research production,found that although the study the study has yielded fruitful results,most of them are limited to text reading,characteristics of drama and stage design are not given enough attention.In this paper,the text features,opera features and stage design of Liaozhai drama are the emphasis.The first section of the first chapter is about the classification of Liaozhai dramas according to these theme,which is divided into four categories,namely marriage and love drama,ugly officialdom drama,family ethics drama,heroic drama.After the comparison,author found that the characteristics of Liaozhai drama are magic,reality and ideality.The second chapter of the thesis is divided into the following aspects : the arrangement of clues,the arrangement of the title and number of each Opera,actors appear on the stage and off the stage and the opera music.Author conclude that Liaozhai opera to inherit artistic system from southern opera,and then the authors of Liaozhai opera changed the opera system according to script's content.The fourth section in the second chapter emphatically discusses on the interaction of southern opera with northern opera and the four forms of repetition of the same tune.The third chapter is Liaozhai opera stage Design,which is divided into two parts that the arrangement of Quci and Binbai and stage Design.First part discusses on the feature of arrangement of Quci and Binbai from what poetry and the authors of Liaozhai opera realize the relationship that Quci and Binbai originate fromeach other.We can conclusion that although most of the authors of Liaozhai opera are scholar,and they can avoided the problem that stressing Quci and neglecting Binbai.Discusses the stage art characteristics of Liaozhai drama from the three aspects that opera costumes,stage makeup and sound effects.Epilogue briefly discusses the impact Liaozhai opera make on the later novels and dramas,and besides,summarizes the characteristics and shortcomings of this paper.
