The Ethics Thinking Of Urbanization In China

Urbanization has seen remarkable development since China's reform and opening-up policy.In 2016,the urbanization rate of residents population and registered population are 57%,41%,respectively.Meanwhile,great changes have taken place in social relations and urban-rural dual structure.The nature of urbanization is to promote the rural workers' citizenship.However,traditional extensive urbanization is land-based,rather than people-based,existing severe ethical problems,such as,material foremost,rather than people foremost,deviating justice in social transformation and unsustainability.And few attention in ethics community has been paid to this huge change in Chinese society.As the only way to modernization,new-type urbanization idea and strategy has been put forward,while its outline is approved.During its implementation,the whole government,society and ethics should fully sum up the previous lesson,absorbing useful experience from main developed countries and developing countries,for instance,Latin America,with the full knowledge of the combination of its regularity and purpose.In accordance with people-oriented ethical idea,they should realize and elaborate the underlying ethics in environmental,shared,harmonious development idea,enabling it to guide and regulate the practice of new-type urbanization and giving full play to ethical principles and its strength.Then,they should demarcate ethical responsibility of government in the practice,fulfilling self-disciplined,fair,and dutiful role ethics and responsibility ethics so as to provide ethic guarantee for people-oriented new-type urbanization.Therefore,urban areas can become an ethical community featuring the growth of production,an affluent life and a sound ecosystem,pioneering a way of urbanization with Chinese characteristics,beneficial to the development of human civilization.
