The humorous novels,as the name suggesting,is fulling of humorous means.It can also be called Paixie novels or jokes.The main features of the short novels are funny,ridicule and fool.Although the humorous novels is not the mainstream of ancient literature,but from the story of the humorous novels,we can overture people's optimistic,or open-minded attitudes towards life in a specific historical background.The first chapter of this article dates the source of the Wei-Jin and the Southern &Northern humorous novels to ShiJing,the pre-Qin philosophers' s fables and the Han humorous Fu.After the preliminary understanding of the origin of the humorous tradition,we will analyze it overall.In the second chapter,this article will analyze Chinese first jokes XiaoLin and then focus on the royal writer HanDanChun,the objective situation of Xiao Lin,the literary characteristics,and the entertainment effects.In the third chapter of this article,the author discusses the scribes' diversified life,it's unique humorous features in PaiTiao Pian of ShiShuo and then explores scribes' lfe funs and their inner depressions.At last,this paper focuses on Buddhist books BaiYujing,which representes the Buddhist jokes,and analyzes the background of these stories,the causes of laughter.From the propagate,we can find people's potential state of minds in the special historical period.
