As one of four major civilized birthplaces,China's cultural resources attract world's attention which embodies wisdom and profound achievements of the Chinese nation.Folk art is an important part of cultural resources that shows great significance to study Chinese civilization and historical change,promoting social harmony and economic development and protecting local culture and folk art.Since reform and opening up,China's political,economic,and cultural and other aspects have got the unprecedented development.Due to breakthrough the shackles of behind closed doors,the culture and folk art of different countries and regions has been merged into the direction of diversity and integration.The mutual penetration phenomenon,between different cultures and folk custom,not only broaden people's horizon,but also bring many problems.The cultural boundary between different regions becomes blurred which brings the phenomenon of split.And it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the independence and uniqueness of local culture.In recent years,in order to protect and inheritance of folk culture,China began to advocate introducing the concept of localization and ruralization to folk art.Through the way of spreading the concept,China will effectively guide people to understand its culture and folk art.Therefore,just under the background of localization,the protection and development of culture would break the constraint of traditional form and folk art could really promote.With its unique charm,folk art is the treasure of Chinese culture and the core of Chinese civilization.From ancient times,with vast territory and many ethnic groups,every ethnic group has its own form of art.As changes of history,folk art has merged into a culture with Chinese characteristics.Local art is always carrying the spiritual wealth,which creates by a region,a country and even a nation.Local art is the source of the spirit of the people,the fountain of self-restraint culture.The research of folk art,under the local environment,which means on the basis of characteristics of local art to study it from different views.This paper will study the folk art on the basis of local environment.The writer will research the present situation of the development of local art at home and abroad,find the development of common law,personality characteristics,and aesthetic value of folk art as well as protection to heritage folk art.At last,the writer will leave folk art of our nation as the research foothold.To provide the development direction and effective theory about folk art in Beijing-Tianjin region,the writer will combine the domestic situation,analysis of the feature,value and solution to existed problem of folk art in Beijing-Tianjin region.
