Georges Bizet was a pioneer of the realism operas.Carmen composed by Bizet ushered in a new realm for French operas.Aria,Pres des remparts de Seville,was selected fromSeguidilla,Carmen,which is another important aria following L'amour est un oiseau rebelle that depicts the image of Carmen and promotes the development of story plots.Striking and unique national music style,vivid and fluent rhythms,fascinating dramatic plots and highly difficult singing techniques of Pres des remparts de Seville makes it a repertoire chosen by many singers on the concert.In the opera,Bizet used many British and Spanish musical elements,which vividly show not only the national character of an unruly Carmen,who dares to love and hate,but also passion of Bizet for Spanish music and his rich experiences in naturally applying it.This paper refers to a large number of materials about Carmen,and then chooses the aria,Pres des remparts de Seville,which is the most representative of the exotic style ofCarmen,as the research object.The performance is studied from such aspects as the whole life of the composer,details of the opera,composing character and singing analysis.Out of passion for this aria,the author hopes to provide some help for further performers of the aria and lay a solid foundation for the author's learning and teaching work through this research.Carmen is a classical opera.The ever-lasting artistic charm has a deep influence on the author.The author sincerely hopes that this research can make more people learn about the aria and the opera,and perform it out better.
