A Study Of Pensions Problem About Revolutionary Soldiers At Early Liberation

Pension system is a kind of means that gives comfort and help to the disabled members or dependent of martyrs from the forces by the state or organization.In order to inspire morale of servicemen and maintain the order,pensions were regarded as an important national policy by general most Dynasties.The written records of pensions can be traced to the Western Zhou Dynasty at the earliest.It said that if the officials were died on the march,it is necessary to purchase the grave and buried properly,it is also a sound strategy to stabilize the morale of the troops and defend the country.Most of the traditional social pensions only have forms so that the roles of propaganda is greater than the actual value,which was called reward pension.However,the Communist Party of China attached importance to assistance,which was called taking responsibility to make people live normally.Hong'an and Macheng are old revolutionary base areas in Hubei province.They are a famous place of origin of Huangma Uprising and the birthplace of Red Fourth Army with history backgrounds deeply.In those revolutionary land,Countless heroes and heroines made great sacrifices in order to establish and protect the country.Although the Communist Party of China and government were faced great economic difficulties and lacked of human resources,they were still compensate the injured servicemen and the family dependent of martyrs after the founding of the state for the sake of stability.The study probes to the pension problems of revolutionary soldiers during the initial stage of new China.Researching on the pension policy and its progress status in old revolutionary base areas of Hubei province,such as Hong'an and Macheng by collecting and analysing a large number of archival sources,in order to understand their pension status and improve their living levels.Moreover,summing up the experience of the state compensates the injured servicemen and the surviving dependants in the situations which is shortage of budget and material during the initial stage of new China.And all of these can make a reference for military pensions nowadays and the improvement of social security.
