The Study Of "Xia Nv" Image Development In Chinese Ancient Novels

"Xia Nv" is a special type of image in Chinese ancient novels,and there are great differences in different historical periods.This paper selects representative works in ancient Chinese novels to analyze the image of "Xia Nv",sorts out features and ideological connotation from "Xia Nv" image what shows in different period in the novel text,then analyze the development and evolution systematically about "Xia Nv" image in Chinese ancient novels,and reveals some causes of development and evolution for "Xia Nv" image.The first part of this paper is introduction,an academia overview of research status on the image of Xia Nv in Chinese ancient novels,the definition of "Xia Nv" image,which thinks that "Xia nv" image has experienced the writing culture context from "Xia" to "Nv Xia" then to "Xia Nv",the research object is defined as the female who make good deeds by their ability.The second part is to analyze specific characteristics of "Xia Nv" image in different periods.The image of "Xia Nv" in the novels of Tang Dynasty lays the basic characteristics of the type for later generations of the "Xia Nv" and shows a positive,healthy and high spirited spirit,the author pays more attention to the performance of the image of "Xia",which is more spiritual transcendence;the image of "Xia Nv" type features was more diverse and ideological connotation close to reality,showed tolerance concerns and kept the spirit of Confucianism in the novels of Song and Yuan Dynasties;in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,"Xia Nv" image reached a high artistic level in Chinese classical novels and the vernacular novels of highly skilled in military and chivalrous complexity,diverse,rich emotional femininity is prominent,showing the spirit of affection and ceremony,nation and family.The third part is to analyse and summarize the rule of "Xia Nv" image changes from Chinese ancient novels in different periods,in the image feature from a single type to multiple types,from escapism into reality,from independence and freedom to reinforcement of binding taboo;in the spiritual connotation from the novles of Tang Dynasties "Xia Nv" independence,activity and health to the novels of Song Dynasties "Xia Nv" for personal interest and practice Buddhism or Taoism,and then to changes for the state and the people in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties;The overall attitude of the love of the "Xia Nv" image in Ming and Qing Dynasty is from the neglect to the passive and then to the initiative of the process of change;the "Xia Nv" image in the concept of chastity presented by the free opening to the feudal code of detention and then to the imprisoned and the change in the process.The fourth part explains the reasons for the evolution of "Xia Nv" image,including the concept of novel creation and style of novel in the development of the novel changes itself;the dual role of writers and readers of the psychological state of mind;folk thoughts of altruism,hero worship and impact of civilian psychological expectations;from elegant to vulgar and the fusion of elegance and popularity of aesthetic fashion.The last part is the conclusion of development of "Xia Nv" image in Chinese ancient novels.
