As a complex cognitive activity, creativity not only benefits the individual's cultural life, but also plays an important role in the development of the country, andthe progress of human civilization.Previous researchers divided the creativity into “Big-Creativity” and “Little-Creativity” according to the effect of the created products on social value.“Big-Creativity”mainly focuses on the creative achievement and“Little-Creativity”focuses on the creativity of ordinary people in daily life. There are many researches about the neural mechanism of creativity in recent years, but most of the studies focuses on the “Big-Creativity”or the creativity of a specific field(such as painting,music,art,etc.).There are only a few studies about the “Little-Creativity”.Creative behavior in everyday life plays an important part in the “Little-Creativity”,the study of Creative behavior helps people realize the importance of cultivating creativity in daily life(such as at school classrooms, workplaces, home or social environments). In recent years some researchers think that the individual's brain activity in the resting state helps to understand the differences in individual creative behavior, such as ALFF(amplitude of low frequency-fluctuation),FC(functional connectivity)and Re Ho(regional homogeneity). The three methods were widely used in the analysis of resting state data and also widely used in previous creative cognitive studies(Chen et al.Hikaru Takeuchi et,2015;al.,2015;Wei et al.,2014).Amplitude of low frequencyfluctuation amplitude is used for the detection of brain signals in the resting state and then to explore the brain spontaneous activity level;functional connectivity reflects the temporal connection between different regions in the resting state and it indicated the function of connection between different brain regions directly or indirectly;regional homogeneity compute the similarity of a specific voxel around other voxels,if the Re Ho value of the higher consistency of the activity of a brain voxel is higher at the time of the three methods of brain brain activity patterns reveal from different angles. In this study,we use these three methods to analyze the brain imaging data in the resting state then to explore the brain mechanism of creative behavior. Our study used the Creative Behavior Inventory: CBI to measure the “Little-Creativity”.The CBI is the revised version of its version of 1979,and it is widely used by researchers to measure Creative behavior. There are 28 questions in the CBI,which covers the fields of literature, art, visual arts, design and crafts. The subjects were asked to rate themselves from four grades according to their creative activities in daily life. The higher the scores, the more creative activities of the individual in daily life.In the first study,we used the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF)to explore the relationship between the scores of individual creative behavior and the activity intensity of brain regions. The results indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between individual creative behavior and the activation of the left inferior temporal gyrus and putamen and there was no significant negative related brain areas. In the second study,we define the two significant brain areas(left inferior temporal gyrus and putamen)as regions of interests then calculated the functional connectivity strength with the whole brain. The results discovered that the functional connectivity between the left inferior temporal gyrus and the globus pallidus, putamen, caudate nucleus, thalamus, cuneate, inferior parietal gyrus, cerebellum was significantly positive enhanced. The functional connectivity between the right putamen and the middle temporal gyrus, superior temporal gyrus and inferior temporal gyrus, fusiform gyrus, lingual gyrus, cerebellum, middle occipital gyrus, superior occipital gyrus, precentral gyrus and inferior frontal gyrus was significantly positive enhanced. There was no reduced functional connectivity between these areas. In the third study,we used Regional Homogeneity(Re Ho)to investigate the relationship between brain activity and regional homogeneity. The results indicated that the regional homogeneity of the cerebellum, thalamus, insula, bilateral globus pallidus and the right putamen is significant positive correlated with the individual's creative behavior.Based on the above results, our study suggests that creative behavior is related to the function of the following brain areas, such as the inferior temporal gyrus helps individuals perceive the color and shape of visual stimuli, and get the overall perception of complex objects;the middle temporal gyrus contributes to semantic processing and metaphor comprehension;the putamen contributes to motor planning, motor preparation, reward expectations, achievement motivation, and implicit learning;the cerebellum makes the individual's cognitive function more rapid and efficient, and enables the individual to master the language better;parietal lobe contributes to semantic representation and control;inferior frontal gyrus contributes to the phonological and linguistic processing and is also involved in the semantic selection task related to creativity. This study reveals the brain mechanism of creative behavior(based on the low-frequency fluctuation, functional connectivity and Regional Homogeneity.
