The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories is a collection of short stories by English writer Angela Carter. In this book,Carter subversively adapted the famous fairy tales“Blue Beard”,“Beauty and the Beast”,“Little Red Riding Hood”,“Cinderella” and“Snow White” of the Charles Perot and Green Brothers.Carter's reconstruction created a new fairy tale space for us,which is worth exploring. The main body of this paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter attempts to explore the style features of The Blood Chamber and Other Stories from perspectives of space-time intersections and cool-tone processing. The purpose is to explore the collision between ancient elements in the text and modern style.Carter kept the story while adapting fairy tales. The framework of the framework,on the other hand, will be transplanted into modern living space. Two different time and space overlap and collide in the text, giving the fairy tale a new life.Fairy tale is usually warm.Carter introduced the Gothic style into the creation of the text, and processed the background and ending of the fairy tale in a cool tone. This shows Carter's subversion of the fairy tale style and her dark humanity. The second chapter of the thesis tries to use feminist theory to analyze the new female image in Carter's fairy tales. In the classic fairy tales, the heroine is often a pure and well-behaved weak person and an object that needs to be saved.Carter has transformed these inherent feminine images. These feminine images appear to be a powerful force that resists the patriarchal gender suppression. The third chapter of the thesis tries to use Carter's works to interpret Deleuze's and Gattari's theory of "becoming-animal","deterritorialisation" and "ligne de fuite".In the classic fairy tales, the animalization of humans is often presented as a curse or punishment, which is a degrading of life. However,in Carter's fairy tale, human "becoming-animal" is presented as an escape,a sublimation of life.In Carter's fairy tale world, the protagonist's life presents a kind of evolution, they dare to break through the inherent identity and continue to generate to the heterogeneous life. From this point of view,Carter's style subversion of the classic fairy tale and the reconstruction of meaning is of great significance for exploration. She breaks theboundaries between ancient and modern, real and magic, breaks the gender boundaries between men and women, and even breaks the boundaries of life between animals and humans. It can be said that Carter's adaptation of fairy tales is both a text play and a literary action.
