The Stories Of Little Girls In Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales

Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales has been a well-known literature in the world. Being a typical writing for children, it has exerted a great influence upon the proper formation of children's morality and standard of value. With a history of more than one hundred years since its publication, this monumental work has won popular and enduring acceptance among its readers bringing great enlightenment of beauty to children as well as to the adults. However, as the time going on, some of its messages to be transmitted seem to fail to keep up with the pace of modern life, which might have come apart from the present social reality.Based on the above said Fairy Tales, this thesis was mainly focused on the stories of little girls by making a research on the items as characteristic personalization, mental attitude, affective conflict, religious conviction and human morality, etc. At the same time, attempt was also made to see if there were variations between the contents of those tales and the social reality owing to the advancement of times. In addition, the results of the research was hoped to encourage writers of fairy tales to create their works with high professional integrity. Adults were recommended to offer proper guidance for selecting appropriate tales for children, so as to ensure the readers to have their soul purified and elevated having appreciated the honesty and beauty of the stories. What seemed to be more important was that the conclusions of the research could provide kindergarten and primary teachers, including parents, with helpful inspiration and reference when they instructed children to read or to enjoy literal works. In this way, gainful emotions were expected to obtain from the enjoyment of children and the readers as well.
