Although Roth studies at home and abroad are very popular,there are not many studies on the memory of the "bound Zuckerman Trilogy" in Eastern Europe.In this thesis the Eastern European memory in Ross' s "bound Zuckerman Trilogy" is selected as the research object.This thesis is divided into five parts:The introduction summarizes the main contents of the trilogy,points out its significance in Philip Ross' s writing career,and summarizes the research status quo of the "tied Zuckerman Trilogy" at home and abroad.The first chapter of the thesis,"Philip Ross and Eastern Europe",focuses on the fact that Ross writes the memory of Eastern Europe.The identity of the third generation of American Jewish immigrants and the experience of growing up in the Jewish ethnicity made Ross pay great attention to Eastern Europe from an early age.In addition,Ross visited Prague on the five visit in 1970 s,until the visa was rejected in 1977,and a large number of related texts were formed after the visit.In addition,the perspective of college writers and the experience of publishing works for Eastern European writers will help Ross to understand Eastern Europe.In the second chapter,"the trilogy of eastern Europe memory" simple first defining the meaning of this paper,eastern Europe,illustrates the relationship of eastern Europe and the jewish nation and the holocaust,demonstrate the central memory consists of two parts of the holocaust and jewish memory,through the analysis presented in the works of the floor,circumcision,Anne image,the Holocaust,such as cultural memory phenomenon,to explore the dynamics of eastern European cultural memory,diversity and social critical characteristics,criticizes the massacre to jews of physical and mental trauma.The third chapter of the thesis,"the cultural implication of memory in Eastern Europe",criticizes and reflects on racism and totalitarianism respectively.The revelry and nature of the cultural hegemony of the Soviet Union behind the elimination of political high pressure is the equality and dialogue between the Eastern European Jewish ethnic groups seeking multiculturalism.The concluding part summarizes the full text,summarizes the full text,and points out that the creation of the trilogy aims to overcome the narrow localism,reveals the common aspirations of human dilemma in the postmodern context.Ross formed in the course of more than 50 years of writing career transcendental position of national cultural stance and cosmopolitan literary field of vision,but due to the United States and the Soviet union's cultural context,Ross has no intention of midstream shows the consciousness of imperialism.In addition,the Oriental culture in the absence of literary creation to some extent,Ross a western centralism.When we do research focuses on the open literature field of vision,should avoid to western centralism or nationalism to study,more should be treated with caution universalism and cultural hegemony of powerful culture,so as to avoid the world of colonial literature.
