A Comparative Study Of The Loong Pattern From Porcelain In Ming And Qing Dynasties

The loong patterns condense the essence of the thousands of years' Chinese national spirits.Now,it has became the symbol of Chinese nation as loong becoming the soul of Chinese nation.Since the formation of the basic style of loong,it has gradually gone through a complex and long process of evolution to became the form of today.In ancient times,the emperors normally declare them self to be loong or claim them self as the prince of loong,people will regard loong as auspicious animal and rain gods.But loong does not exist in natural world.It was made by countless people's wisdom and imagination as their belief and wish to goodliness.The patterns of loong had appear on porcelain since the birth of it.Then,each time the loong patterns on porcelain is not immutable and frozen,loong will even have different artistic features of their own in every dynasty.It could be said as a representative pattern of Chinese porcelain decorative patterns.Its long history and culture had attracted the attention of experts around the world.pattern of loong has always been loved by the people of China as decorative pattern.Pattern of loong has appeared since ancient times and been widely used in all kinds of decorative objects from the Period of Southern and Northern Dynasties.The loong pattern also changed in form and cultural connotation with the cultural background changing and the progress of ceramic technology.In this paper,we did further research of the modelling characteristics and cultural evolution of the loong pattern in period of Ming and Qing Dynasties on the basis of predecessors.The whole paper was divided in 5 chapters.The first chapter describes the origin and development of loong and related concepts,helps to understand the results of previous studies.The second chapter,we talking about the evolution path of the loong pattern before Ming Dynasty,and the change of the form from the original period to the Ming and Qing Dynasties as forms of simple and unadorned to rich and colorful.We further expounds the combination form of loong pattern and the auxiliary pattern in Ming and Qing Dynasties in the third chapter;The fourth chapter describes the factors which influenced the loong pattern of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in aspects like ceramic ceramic industry,spiritual and cultural.Fifth,boldly putting forward new ideas of the innovative application of the loong pattern through the analysis of the current application of loong pattern on porcelains.We attempts to analyze the different points of porcelain loong pattern in Ming and Qing Dynasties and get more in-depth understanding of loong pattern through the several parts of the summary above.We aim at Striving to use the traditional loong pattern in contemporary design better and innovating on the basis of inheritance to provide a new way of thinking for contemporary graphic design.
