Portrait photography as one of the forms of artistic creation and daily shooting is still a matter of day and night.In today's "everyone is an artist" in the context of portrait photography after the change,the emergence of kaleidoscope-like changes and the form of fun.Behind this phenomenon,the initial appearance of Chinese portrait photography and how it is to the art of such issues as the search for the public photographic phenomenon can not avoid and meaningful clues.This paper aims at the development of combing the history of photography China two stages:"taking" period(1844-1919)and "making" period(1919-1937),on the basis of analysis of the changing process of artistic ideas and forms the image text.The first chapter is mainly about the scope of the study,as well as the specific concepts(portrait photography,art,"taking" and "making").The second chapter briefly elaborate the era context and the overall style of China portrait photography in two stages of the evolution of history.The third chapter focuses on the specific image text,combined with the external visual experience of traditional and historical and cultural environment,social ethics and other factors,the schema differences between the two periods,the exploration of the specific image in portrait photography art style performance.
