The Study Of Xujinglei’s Films

In the Chinese new generation of female director group,Xu Jinglei is a member can not be ignored.So far,Xu directed the seven films independently,challenging a variety of types,shaping the different styles of female roles.At present,the academic research on Xu’s films is less,focusing on the analysis of its single film.This thesis attempts to systematically and specifically analyze the film of Xu,and to explore the theme expression and artistic expression of the film based on the film text,in order to find the unique mark of her film.This is also the main purpose and significance of this paper.On the basis of reading the text,this paper analyzes Xu’s films from the three aspects of subject search,narrative strategy and audiovisual performance,and holds the overall grasp of its style characteristics,then sums up the lack of contribution and contribution of Xu’s films.In the theme of exploration,Xu’s films expressed the new feminist concept boldly,constructed female discourse,wrote human emotional proposition,and thinking social change in life.In the narrative strategy,it takes the feminine narrative perspective to examine the elephant,and uses the variable narrative technique to expand the narrative content.The non-plot narrative and the closed ending are spliced to form a unique narrative structure,the narrative mark of personal characteristics is engraved.In the audio-visual performance,Xu’s films set up a profound meaning of the multi-pattern composition,the sound and the screen were emotional processing,for the different styles of the film,it transformed color light and shadow,and or into the symbolic image deepen the theme.Audio-visual performance undertakes the subject,shows her films’ aesthetic part mostly.Through the analysis of the above three dimensions,her films are weak on narrative,and gradually slip into the entertainment,but have undeniable achievements in the type of exploration and film operation mode.Xu Jinglei can maintain creating,which is commendable for the Chinese films.As a female director,Xu challenged new areas of the film continuously while adhering to female writing,for female films is also a valuable sample.Her films reflect the trajectory of contemporary Chinese film transformation,but also reflect the effective path of Chinese female social practice.Therefore,it is necessary to deepen the objective understanding of Xu’s works.And this paper can provide some reference for the follow-up discussion.
