The Influence Of World Knowledge On Sentence Reading In The Time Context And Epistemic Stance Context

Knowledge of the world refers to the accumulation of common sense and social experience.World knowledge is often used as a semantic violation to study the influence of rationality on sentence reading.The violation of the world knowledge is also an important part of the integration of the local context and the whole context.In this study,a new expansion of the scope of the study of world knowledge,combined with the theory of linguistics and context,put forward the concept of time context and epistemic stance context.In this study,the author believes that the time context is the factor that can lead to the time context in the sentence.To understand the context of epistemic stance is to show the subjective position of the individual in the sentence,and to produce the language environment which has the distinct subjective color.The study is divided into three main parts.The first part is the selection and evaluation of the experimental materials.The experimental materials are prepared in the form of a group.The second part is the first part of the experiment,to explore the influence of world knowledge on sentence reading in different time context.The third part is the experiment of the two,to explore the influence of the world knowledge on the sentence reading in different epistemic stance context.Experiment 1 and experiment 2 were studied by eye tracking technique.This study shows:(1)In the future context,it will make the process of sentence integration difficult,but it is likely to have no influence on the understanding of the world..(2)"Future" will attract more attention than "present".(3)In the context of the epistemic stance context,"feeling" can temporarily reduce the cognitive load of the subjects when they read the following words.(4)The understanding of the epistemic stance context has an early influence on world knowledge,and only appears in the early stage.(5)The violation of the knowledge of the world will increase cognitive load and cause more attention.(6)The author believes that the world knowledge will have an influence on the early and late stage of the sentence reading,and it has a tendency to support the immediate impact of the world knowledge.
