For a long time, the study about Zygmunt Bauman in domestic circles mainly focused on the stage of modernity,post-modernity and liquid modernity. This research pays close attention to Bauman's early thought.Culture theory, the arguments of socialism and critical sociology are three important themes of his early stage. In his early writings,we can find out an active cultural premise. It is his fundamental attitude that people can change the reality and find an alternative future. Therefore,we summarized his early work as a "de-naturalization" project. On culture theory,“denaturalizing” means a different cultural overview. On the basis of integrating three concepts of culture,Bauman regarded culture as a never-ending praxis.Cultural life is both structuring and structured; On sociology,“denaturalizing” means criticism to the “second nature” in the tradition of positivism and phenomenological sociology. The unfreedom condition of social agency is the immutable premise of “second nature” concept. But Bauman point out it history and presupposition; The new culture theory and critical sociology can be regarded as a theoretical weapon of Bauman's "de-naturalization".Socialism is the central issue of young Bauman and the practical agenda of "de-naturalization".The socialist practices of Poland and the Soviet suppressed social pluralism and individual freedom. Then it gradually became rigid. The task of socialism is not simply pursuit of economic development,it is essentially a utopia that can promote people's freedom of choice as well as expand different possibilities of life.It should get rid of the bondage of routine commonsense and change the status qua actively. There is a closely related between Bauman's early writings and modernity theory. And culture theory is the key to communicate them.In the change of Bauman's thought, the practical project fades away on the one hand, the value in socialism separated out on the other hand. This reflects the dissolving of the young Bauman's "de-naturalization" agenda.
