This paper first puts forward the research significance,research purpose,development history,researc h status and research methods of group cooperative learning;A preliminary discussion on the relevant theory of group cooperative learning,to provide the basic conditions that should be processed for the implementation of group cooperative learning,and summarize the advantages of the group cooperative learning;Study on the effect of application of group cooperative learning in Higher Vocational English Teaching,it is found that the interest of the students who adopt group cooperative learning mode in learning English is greatly improved,speaking English more confidently,and the overall English scores of experimental class increased greatly,which indicates that the mode of application of group cooperative learning in Higher Vocational English C lass has obvious effect;At the same time,carrying out investigation and analysis on the problems and reasons of the group cooperative learning in Higher Vocational English Teaching,and the corresponding solutions are given.Finally,giving some suggestions on how to carry out effective group cooperative learning in Higher Vocational English class.
