The earliest contacts between the Japanese and the Jews can be traced back to the nineteenth Century, and the historical exchanges between Japan and the Jews laid a friendly foundation for the development of the relationship between Japan and Israel. From 1952 to 1973,Japan,under the premise of ensuring its own economic security, stood firmly on the side of the United States and Israel in the face of the Arab Israeli conflict, and the relationship between Japan and Israel was relatively stable. In 1973,the oil crisis caused by the Middle East countries caused the Japanese economy to suffer a heavy blow.In order to protect their own security,Japan changed its position in the Arab Israel issue,"Pro Arab and anti Israel",and the relationship between Japan and Israel became tense. In 1980s,with the reduction of energy dependence to the Middle East countries and the easing of the Palestine Israel conflict,Japan began to return to its political relations. In terms of economic relations, due to various factors, the economic and trade exchanges between the two countries are very limited.Generally speaking, the relationship between Japan and China has been in an abnormal state for a long time due to the influence of Japan's energy security. After the cold war,Japan normalized relations with Israel in 1992 by promoting the role of the United States, the changes in Japan's Middle East policy, the disintegration of the Arabia world, and the search for new markets in Israel. In twenty-first Century,Japan actively participated in the Middle East affairs. The scale of contacts in the fields of politics, economy, science and technology, culture and other fields was expanding day by day,and Japan-Israel relations entered a stage of all-round development.Looking forward to the future, the relationship between Japan and Israel will be affected by energy security;the situation in the Middle East and the factor of market.but there are still opportunities to promote bilateral relations.Economic cooperation is still the most important form of strengthening bilateral exchanges, and economic and trade relations between the two countries will continue to improve. With the increasingly prominent role of scientific and technological innovation and cultural exchanges in the context of globalization, scientific and technological cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries will be further strengthened. In addition, there will be more and more opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the military field.
