Quality Control Of Bid Documents Translation Project

In the first half of the second year in Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation of Shanghai International Studies University,the author has the opportunity to participate in the bid document translation project and being one of three project managers.This document is used by China Life for its bidding in Enterprise Annuity Trusteeship for Volvo Group.During the project,the author used multiple quality control mechanisms and put forwarded the overall workflow to ensure the overall quality of the project.The author expects to briefly introduce and analyze the process and mechanisms used in quality control,sums up some experience learned during the process and finally to give his recommendation in project management.To ensure translation quality,the author introduces such mechanisms as removing duplicates in Excel,chain review and client feedback in all three stages of the project.Meanwhile,the author discusses the application of Multidimensional Quality Metrics(MQM)as one of objective translation quality mechanism in this project.
