A Report On The Translation Of Staff Manual Of The AmBev Company From The Perspective Of Project Management

This report mainly discusses the Chinese-English translation project of Staff Manual of the Am Bev Company.This report first gives an introduction to the changes in translation in modern times,then discusses the necessity and feasibility of project management.Given a detailed description of various tasks in the project,a qualified translator needs to involve a variety of skills.The project report includes three parts: the preparation,the process of translation and translation summary.During the internship,the author have the honor to participate in the “Ambev” translation project in three roles.Meanwhile,the author have made a systematic study of all sectors in the translation process and explored the factors which influence the quality of translation as a member of the projects,applying related management theories in its process.As the manager of the project,the author have drafted the overall flow of the project,and made concrete practices in roles of translator and reviewer.After finding existing problems in practice,the author have made corrections,complements and finally submitted the translation project.The report shows that Chinese translation service providers have entered the global translation service production chain,so we must keep pace with the development of language service industry of the world,fully understand and take advantage of international standards for translation service systems.By doing so,we can break the barriers of language studies and blaze a trail in language services industry development.
