The Study Of Human Images In Contemporary Animal Fictions

This article takes the human image in the animal novels as the research object,starts from narratology,ecological ethics and so on.At the same time,it uses the method of text in-depth to analyze the types of human images in the animal novels based on the analysis of texts.Then,by comparing the human images in Shen Shixi and Hei He animal novels with the human images in Sidon and Jack London,we can conclude the problems and reflections on the shaping of human images.The significance of this study is to make people aware of the importance of human image in the animal novels that have been neglected.In the introduction part,the author introduced the conditions and definitions of animal novels,then discussed the research status of animal novels and animal novels of Shen Shixi and Hei He,and finally discussed why animal novels of Shen Shixi and Hei He are the examples.The first chapter mainly analyzes the types of human images in animal novels.It can be divided into four categories:the image of hunters,fickle"owners",faithful and reliable partners,and onlookers.These four categories of hunters in the image is divided into two kinds,one is the proper hunter,although they are hunters,but respect for animals,respect for nature.The other is brutal slaughter,they just use the animal as a tool to satisfy their own desires.In the section entitled "Fickle Owners",the analysis of the causes of "fickleness" mainly reveals that the causes are motivated by interests and the inferiority of mankind itself.The third section is a loyal and reliable partner,the human image in animal novels is the most important author,can be said to be the embodiment of the author’s will.The fourth section focuses on those seemingly onlookers’ roles,which are created by the author in order to objectify his position.The second chapter is the key part of the whole thesis,which mainly analyzes the function of human image in animal novels.In general,there are mainly bearing the narrative function of the novel,the carrier of its own role,the breakthrough of anthropocentrism and the ecological significance of the human image.The narrative function starts from narrator and narrative perspective,and most of human characters act as narrator in the text.According to narrator’s position,it can be divided into omniscient perspective,inner perspective and outer perspective.At the same time,the human image is still the carrier of its own role.Both the reader and the author can express their emotions through the human image in the novel.Human image can also play a role in the breakthrough of anthropocentrism.In addition,the ecological significance of human images is mainly to inspire human reflection on human nature,thus calling for human beings to care for animals and care for nature.The third chapter is a comparative study,the Chinese writer Shen Shixi,Hei He and Western writers Sidon and Jack London,the comparison of human images in their animal novels.Mainly from the occupation,animal and human relations,animal fate comparison of three aspects.From a career point of view,the mercenary hunter is both Chinese and Western animal novels.From the point of view of animals and human beings,the human beings that are close to the animals are mainly children.From the fate of animals,humans are the masters of animal fate.The last section of this chapter analyzes the subjective and objective reasons for the differences in human images between Chinese and Western animal novels.The fourth chapter mainly explains the questions and reflections of human images in animal novels.The main problems of human images in animal novels include simplification of human images and distance of human images.The simplification of human image refers to the single type of human image in animal novels.The distance of human image refers to the separation of human image from reality and from the masses.In this regard,animal fiction writers should be involved in many aspects of the human image in the text,at the same time to make the human image with a sense of the times,so as to be more attractive to readers.The conclusion mainly discusses the meaning of human image research in animal novels,which not only make up the blank of human image research in animal novels,but also bring new thinking to animal novel writers.
