This thesis uses Esther as a research object, trying to analyze the relationship between the Jews and the Gentiles and the Jewish people's understanding of the relationship between the Jews and the Gentiles through the exploration of Esther and the historical background of the writing. From the reaction of the Gentiles to their national hostility,we discussed the anti-Jewish practices that existed in the text and their influence of Judaism.First of all,the text of Esther is analyzed and discussed, including the analysis of its characters and the study of "Harman killing the Jews",and exploring the rationality of the character's behavior from the text's plot narrative and literary characteristics. It mainly focuses on three perspectives:thinking about the background and purpose of the author's writing, based on the different characteristics of the characters and the different character setting;Comparing the similarities and differences between Esther and other biblical texts,we can see the author's position and the significance of the hiding existence of God;analyzing the ethnic relations embodied in the text to clarify the author's point of view on Esther and to explore the text plot and the rationality of the characters' behavior.Secondly,it is the historic exploration of Esther. In the disbanded period, the relationship between Jews and Gentiles was always in a dangerous state of stalemate and even faced with the danger of extinction several times, but in this period,This kind of hostility from the Gentiles unlike the predatory battles over religion or territory described in other biblical texts, has turned into a enmity against the Jewish community as a whole. It is not only based on Explicit wars or slaughter, but like the norm of life. This article will use this as an starting point to discuss the different modes of coexistence between Jews and Gentiles during the Persian and Hellenistic periods, and the ruler's attitude towards Jews.On this basis,it combines existing research results to defin the writing time of Esther. Finally, under the influence of a mixture of texts and history, the author of Esther not only records the life of Esther and Mordecai under the rule of the Persian Empire, but also conveyed in an ancient metaphor. In the predicament faced by Jews in his era, they lived under the rule of empire. The interests of the sovereign states countries undoubtedly represented their interests, and they were unwilling to give up their own interests. The book of Esther expresses such a view that the diaspora communities are not revolting against the existence of the sovereign state. They even need to cater to the needs of the sovereign state. At the same time, they are always concerned with the interest of their own people and stand on their own.To maintain the firm position of the Jewish community, they chose a middle course between resistance and obedience. At the same time,anti-Semitism can also be seen in the ancient social environment. The definition and characteristics of anti-Semitic in the context of ancient society is also the content of this thesis, which will analyze the Jewish-to-Jewish based on the exploration of the term“anti-Semitism”and the definition of Anti-Semitism in ancient times.Anti-Semitism:The non-Jewish anti-Jewish behavior plagued the Jews, but they did not respond passively to non-Jewish discrimination and hostile attitudes. They chose rebellion and records and responded to their growing heritage with their own unique cultural memory transmission methods.Anti-Jewish situation. The text of Esther itself is a manifestation of this attitude. It shows that the Jews are unwilling to give in and hope to achieve victory through rebellion. This spirit and vision are the heritage of the Jews from generation to generation,xcThe national connotation that has not disappeared during the process of diaspora.
