The documentary tells about the story of a Fujian Opera actress,Lin Ying.Lin.Ying was born in a family of opera artists,but instead it was because residence registration transition that she finally strayed into the Fujian Opera profession.After six demanding,rigorous years in traditional opera school,Lin Ying continued suffering from the hard training,low payment,constant injuries and other problems.She watched many people went away from this profession,and also received invitation to the television station to become a full-time hostess.But she still chose to stay in the Fujian Opera in the end.Now,taking her 10-year-old apprentice Mei Chang,she is find her way out of the cultural communication of Fujian Opera in this tough age for Chinese traditional opera.
