From 2005 to 2017,Japan have many food-themed films and showed high-quality,that not only lead pop culture but also influence China.These Japanese creators are good at telling stories and screen presentation,so they have a large number of loyal audiences in China.In recent years,many of our country's films,teleplays,TV shows,short videos and self-media related to food have been deeply influenced by Japanese style.Developers of Chinese films and teleplays even introduced Japanese IP versions particularly.However,they did not achieve success,on the contrary,ending up with non-decent evaluations.Based on the theoretical analysis paradigm of film narratology,and researches of some culinary films in the academic world,especially Japanese contemporary culinary films,this article selected several films related which were well praised and disseminated,analyzing on two aspects,role modeling and plot setting,focusing on the comparative study with domestic food films as well.Finally,this article will stand at the macro perspective behind the film to analyze the creative trends and environment of the films of the two countries,and further reflect on the misunderstandings and focus point of development in the production of Chinese food films,through the failure of the Chinese version adaptation of the late night canteen.
