A Comparative Study Of Ma Yuan’s "The Plum Flower In The Moon Light" And Friedrich "Two Men In The Moon Light"

The Song Dynasty was one of the most dramatic historical periods in the development of Chinese landscape painting.However,Ma Yuan was also one of the most important landscape painters in the Song Dynasty.His special compositional form and the unique communication of the meaning of the painting made the painting poetic.After more than 500 years in Germany,influenced by the Hurricane,German romanticism began to emerge and thrive.Friedrich,as a representative of the German romantic landscape,focuses on the creation of atmosphere and on the spiritual space reflect.In the two paintings by Ma Yuan,"The plum flower in the Moon Light" and Friedrich’s "Two Men in the Moon Light," there are striking resemblances in composition and spirit expression.The purpose of this paper And its significance is mainly through the comparison of the two works,leads to the difference between Eastern and Western painting,the different ways of thinking and the poetic and romantic common Eastern and Western painting.
