Research On Bronze Inscriptions Of Chen Jieqi

The essay takes Chen Jieqi's research of bronze inscriptions as the object of study,and make reorganization of Chen Jieqi's research achievement with the utilization of enormous amount of data and the methods of comparison,conclude and deduction.With the reorganization of Chen Jieqi's research achievement,the essay summarized the academic thoughts of Chen Jieqi:the materials are important in explaining ancient Chinese characters(????,??????),the comparison between ancient Chinese characters and ShuoWen,ShangShu(??????????????????????),point out his significant influence on development of palaeography.Ultimately,the essay makes comprehensive and objective investigation about Chen Jieqi's research achievement,fills the vacancy of research of Chen Jieqi's research about bronze inscriptions.The essay is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is introduction,this part mainly talk about Chen Jieqi's life story,works and academic achievement,and explains the research content,research methods,research purpose,research significance of this essay and introduces the subject research situation at home and abroad.The second chapter is the principal part of this paper,which is the review and evaluate of the content of Chen Jieqi's research of bronze inscriptions.According to the research about his bronze inscriptions,Chen Jieqi's research contents can be divided into two categories:Some books which are the explanation of bronze inscriptions and several single articles which explain bronze inscriptions.The study was based on Chen Jieqi's interpretation of the bronze inscriptions.This part mainly compares Chen Jieqi's research with the latest research results to determine whether it is correct or not.The third chapter is Chen Jieqi's contribution and influence in the history of bronze inscriptions.Chen Jieqi's contribution to study of Chinese characters is in the following aspects:Firstly,Chen Jieqi took preservation of cultural relics as his mission,and devoted himself to the spread of bronze inscription,that have retained a large number of ancient Chinese characters materials for later generations.Secondly,Chen Jieqi combined the research of bronze inscriptions with the study of ShuoWen(????)and revised "shuowen" with the unearthed ancient text materials.Thirdly,Chen Jieqi Promote the comparison of bronze inscriptions and ShangShu(????),compared the unearthed ancient Chinese characters materials with the literature material handed down from ancient times,which greatly propelled the development of epigraphy in the late Qing dynasty.It also laid the foundation for the vigorous development of ancient Chinese characters in the 20th century.Finally,Chen Jieqi's specific interpretation of bronze inscriptions of Shang and Zhou dynasty provides valuable references and important inspirations for the study of later generations.The last part is the conclusion basic on Chen Jieqi's research achievements and contributions,the essay reassess his academic status in the study of ancient Chinese characters.
