Is Pidgin Language A Languarge Pollutant ?

The pidgin language originated in the Portuguese language of Guangdong in China,and with the expanding of the British trade in China,Guangzhou English gradually occupied the mainstream and replaced the Portuguese language in Guangdong.After the opening of Shanghai,many Westerners who have been doing business or missionary in Guangdong have poured into Shanghai,some Guangdong people also seize the opportunity to Shanghai,the prosperity of economic and trade also promote Shanghai to replace Guangdong and Hong Kong,Guangdong English was replaced by Pidgin English,Shanghai Pidgin English popular period is also the history of pidgin language in the heyday of the development,Therefore,this article examines the Pidgin language mainly refers to the pidgin English.In language and social culture,Chen Yuan talked about the problem of language pollution,he thinks Pidgin English is the example of the peak of language pollution,this article from different perspectives on the Chen Yuan of this point of view,from the perspective of ecological linguistics,language contact leads to reconstruction,pidgin English is English and Chinese in contact with the reconstruction,Is the result of the language after the "competition-selection" process.From the perspective of the loan theory,pidgin English can also be regarded as a phenomenon of cultural borrowing,and many English words have entered the Chinese vocabulary system.From the perspective of interlanguage,Pidgin English has some similarities with interlanguage in some degree,but there are obvious differences.Although we cannot equate pidgin English with interlanguage,we can use interlanguage theory as a reference for the analysis of Pidgin English.By examining pidgin English from different perspectives,we can conclude that pidgin English is not a language pollution.At the same time,we also have to think about how the discussion of Pidgin English can bring us enlightenment to our Chinese international education.
