Francis Scott Fitzgerald(Francis Scott fitzgerald,1896-1940)was a dazzling star in American literature after the First World War.His life was short but epic.Fitzgerald's feelings about the young people who went in and out of the luxurious mansion and the cocktail show the frustration and disillusionment in life which cannot escape.According to the social and historical cultural background, this article takes the trauma theory as the cut-in point, analyzes the South trauma in his novels called " Tarleton Trilogy ".The paper is divided into three parts, the first part is based on the analysis of the relationship between personal trauma and collective trauma in traumatic memory theory. It analyzes the heroine image(male)in the novel Jelly Beans.Specifically, the trauma memory not only constitutes the personality of the traumatic subject, but also constitutes a stable wounded group which can be inherited by generations. In this process, traumatic memory rebuilt constantly with the change of the actual context, which finally leads to the separation between history and reality. In the second part I try to analyze the traumatic memories are undetected and slowly penetrated into the social structure of the South, resulting in the transformation of the overall temperament of the southern women in the story The Last of the Belle. The last part is a north-south dialogue based on Ice Palace. It is intended to reveal the root cause of southern trauma lies in the sharp contradiction between the north and the south, which leads to the increasingly difficult and ultimately unsuccessful recovery road of southern trauma.
