Research On The Overture Of German Austrian Opera In The Perspective Of "Gesamtkunstwerk"

This dissertation takes the Overture of German Austrian Opera as the research object,chooses the Overture of Wagner’s opera Tannhauser as the research case,takes the macro historical observation and the music case analysis as the two-way research thoughts,and discusses it in three levels.The first level takes the historical evolution of the Overture of German Austrian Opera as the research background,and presents a panoramic view of the historical development and intrinsic qualities of the Overture of German Austrian Opera.The second level focuses on the Overture of Wagner’s opera Tannhauser.It clarifies the internal creative ideas of the Overture of German Austrian Opera’s prelude and drama structure.The third level explains the art theory behind the prelude form,sorts out the historical origin of Gesamtkunstwerk,and thoroughly analyzes Wagner’s creative practice of Gesamtkunstwerkin the opera prelude.Based on the analysis of the form of the opera’s prelude,the dissertation tries to place the dominant motive Vanus Hymn into the deep view of drama.From the perspective of music creation,Gesamtkunstwerk of the prelude in the dramatic structure can be effectively realized.At the same time,on the basis of this,it examines the rich and unique historical and cultural connotations of the prelude to the Overture of German Austrian Opera,thereby expanding and enriching the domestic research horizon of the opera’s prelude.
