The mid-nineteenth century to early 20 th century,the German composer Johannes Brahms(Johannes Brahms,1833 — 1897)music style with the same period of the artist's style of play is complex in together.In the romantic era of Brahms,enthusiasm of classical or even early works and research make he figured out how to use a more rigorous style to restrain the transition of rich romantic emotional catharsis.String of his works,therefore,absorbing the performing artists in the 19 th century and at the same time classical style of Germany Violin School,formed the epochal significance of music forms,to contemporary and future made an indelible contribution to the development of violin playing.Although some of the Brahms music playing style and performance means over time constant innovation and development,but its characteristics at the time,and now the artists to see is still worthy of reference and use.This thesis is divided into three chapters and conclusions,mainly involving the three violin sonatas of Brahms(op.78,op.100 and op.108).In the first chapter,the author discusses the degree of the nuanced duplet in Brahms string music,based on the analysis of Brahms' s views and the works of contemporary musicians.The second chapter mainly involves the duplet that ‘conjoined' in longer phrasing and ‘typical Brahms nuance' slurs that from weak to strong beats,discussed the Brahms' s point of view and the opposite concept of ‘inverted slur' which Matthay proposed,the author combined this concept with the works of Brahms,analyzes its can be applied to the possibility of Brahms' s music.The third chapter,according to the nuances between the longer phrasing or bowing slur,talked about the Brahms' s point of view,and he agreed with Fritz Steinbach "middle ground" in terms of nuancing;And combined with the recording evidence,illustrates in Germany Violin School the legato of bow style(without nuancing),represented by other means(such as dynamics,tempo,vibrato)reveal phrases.In this paper,the author's opinion or the author's conclusions based on previous research have undoubtedly supported the playing style and means that Brahms agreed to.Although slightly different from today's artists in music,it does highlight the unique music feature of the Brahms' s string works.
