Study On The North Wang's School Academic Thought

Records of North Wang's School is one chapter of Records of Ming Scholars by Huang Zongxi to specially record academic ideas of North Wang's scholars.Huang Zongxi divided the yang-ming study followers into six schools including Zhe Zhong Wang's School,JiangYou Wang's School,NanZhong Wang's School,ChuZhong Wang's School,North Wang's School and Guangdong&Fujian Wang's School.Each school has its own special records of academic ideas for the scholars.Among which,seven north scholars including Mu Konghui,Nan Daji,You Shixi,Zhang Houjue,Meng Qiu,Meng Huali and Yang Dongming who were the representatives of Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind spread in the north were recorded in Records of North Wang's School.Since the springing up of Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind,it has already been spread over the north region by a group of scholars including not only aforesaid scholars,but also Liu Kui,Yan Yue,Zhang Xinmin,Zhao Weixin,etc.to form the unique characteristics of North Wang's School.With the efforts by these scholars,the academic idea in the north region broke the limitation of Neo-Confucianism to investigate the connotation of mind in the Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind,and formed its own cognition and development of conscience.And the scholars of North Wang's School further enriched the academic idea in the course of spreading in the north region,like Tao Unification theory,Confucianism-Qi Unification theory,the theory of integrating Buddhism,confucianism and taoism,etc.,which significantly affected spreading and academic development of Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind in the north region.As the important part of Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind,the academic ideas of North Wang's School is an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture.The formation and development of the academic ideas not only influenced academic atmosphere and culture tradition in the north region,but also greatly influenced the real-learning idea in late Ming and early Qing dynasties.Furthermore,the academic ideas of North Wang's School which is the essence of Chinese traditional culture has importantinspiration significance in constructing the current harmonious socialist society.
