The culture of Central Plains has represented the essence of the Chinese civilization extending over five thousand years.It has not only upheld the common spirit of Chinese people but also promoted the common development of Chinese economy and society.As an important part of the culture of Central Plains,the folk culture of Central Plains is viewed as a typical type of root culture.It has played an important role in inheriting the traditional Chinese culture and the culture of Central Plains as well as promoting the social and economic development in Central Plains.However,because of the downgrade of Central Plains in economic and cultural advantages as well as the impact of the powerful western culture,the folk culture of Central Plains has gradually lost its vitality and influence.Hence,it is quite urgent to protect and inherit the culture of Central Plains.In the age of mass media,film media has emerged as a leader which can exert a profound influence on the behavior,thoughts and taste of the public as well as the structure of social culture.In view of the great social effect of films and the urgency of spreading and inheriting the culture of Central Plains,it is of significant theoretical and realistic meaning to research the film communication devoted to the folk culture of Central Plains.This paper has consisted of five parts which will elaborate on the film communication for the folk culture of Central Plains.The first part focuses on the research background,research status and research methods for the film communication devoted to folk culture of Central Plains.The second part will analyze the concepts and background of the film communication for folk culture of Central Plains.The third part has summarized the development course of film communication for folk culture of Central Plains.It has elaborated on the communication features,communication content,communication strategies and policy support for each stage so as to provide a comprehensive and clear view of the film devoted to spreading the folk culture of Central Plains.The fourth part aims to analyze the problems existing in the spread of folk culture of Central Plains from the perspective of operator,communication awareness and industrial structure.In the fifth part,the countermeasures for the film communication devoted to folk culture of Central Plains have been proposed.Aimed at those problems,some effective strategies have been proposed from the angle of governmental policy,market structure and communication environment.Lastly,the communication strategies under the environment of new media have been also discussed in detail.
