Located in the southwest of the Korean Peninsula,Baekje was founded in around 18 BC,and has developed rapidly since then.Baekje had frequent political,economic and cultural communication with the contemporaneous Central Plains Dynasty,sending envoys to pay tribute to and accepted titles of the Central Plains Dynasty.Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain were produced by the ancient Central Plains Dynasty.The import of the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain into Baekje is proved by the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain unearthed from the Baekje site.According to the archaeological excavation report and related materials,some of the ceramics unearthed from the site were considered the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain on the basis of research and analysis.A large number of ceramics were imported,but some were damaged or broken due to the long history and the fragile features of pottery and porcelain.The Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain imported into Baekje are obviously different in style from those made locally,reflecting the love for Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain of Baekje people and their pursuit for high-level culture of the Central Plains Dynasty,demonstrating their enjoyment and concern about high-level culture,and also proving the friendly communication between the two sides.The spread of Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain reflects the influence of ancient China on the cultures of contemporaneous neighboring countries.This paper summarizes the communication between Baekje and the Central Plains Dynasty,combs the features of Baekje's local pottery and porcelain and the development of Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain in the same period,sorts out the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain unearthed at the Baekje site and the changes in national strength of Baekje in different periods,the influence of external factors influencing neighboring countries,and the communication between the two sides,and analyzes the changes in the state relations and cultural exchanges between Baekje and the Central Plains Dynasty.Chapter 1 Introduction discusses the significance of the topic selection and summarizes the research status at home and abroad.Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 take the three periods of Baekje Seoul period,Woongjin period and Buyeo-gun period as the time lines to comb the communication of tributary and conferring between Baekje and the Central Plains Dynasty,analyze the development of Baekje local pottery and porcelain and the Central Plains ones,sort out the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain unearthed from the Baekje site,and try to make a meticulous analysis on the types,decorations,etc.,based on the political exchanges between the two side,the spread of ceramic and its technology in the Central Plains can be reflected,it reflects the spread and influence of Central Plains culture in neighboring countries.Chapter 4 explores the spread of central plains pottery and porcelain culture in Baekje,analyzes the import ways and routes of these central plains pottery and porcelain into Baekje,as well as the time difference between the import and the changes in the number of Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain unearthed in different periods of Baekje,and further explores the influence of the Central Plains Pottery and Porcelain culture on Baekje to reflect the cultural blending between the two sides.To a certain extent,it reflects the changing national strength of Paekche,and it is also the reflection of the diplomatic relations between Paekche and the Central Plains Dynasty.Paekche's pursuit of the Central Plains culture is not only the absorption of the advanced culture,but also the importance attached to the Central Plains Dynasty.Paekche absorbs the advanced Central Plains ceramic culture and integrates its own aesthetic for gradual localization in this process,which is the embodiment of Paekche's emphasis on cultural and spiritual promotion.Chapter 5 is the conclusion to summarize the full text.
