A Study Of The Fictionality From The Perspective Of Rhetorical Narratology

The study of the fictionality is one of the emerging research points of the current narrative theory.In order to systematically and comprehensively comb and contrast the theory of walsh's theory,on the basis of Walsh's fiction research,the further understanding and investigation of his works,thoretical articles,this article discusses the Walsh's theory of "the rhetoric of fictionality".There are three chapters in the main body part.The first chapter discusses the status quo of domestic and foreign research and the academic background of walsh's fictionality research.Domestic fictitonality research is still in a blank state,and fictional research can be divided into three stages,the first two stages have been discussed in the debate between semantics and pragmatics perspective,and the third stage has entered the study of rhetorical perspective.The second chapter discusses Walsh's rhetorical perspective of fictionality,and related concepts of narrative study under this perspective,that is,the rhetoric of fictionality as used for communication resources,based on the relevance of language usage,and analyses the rhetorical perspective to a review of the concept of narrative.The following concepts are involved: faula and sujet,the narrator,narrative voice,and narrative medium.Walsh grasps fictionality as a kind of rhetoric resourse in the process of narrative and how this rhetoric resourse works and the rhetoric perspective of fictionality rethinks the basic concept of narratology.The third chapter,combined with the current narratology,points out the significance of the research on the theory and the problems to be solved in the future.The rhetorical perspective of fictionality conforms to the trend of the development of narratology,and also expands the scope of narratological research.It is born in response to the development of narratology,and it imposes requirements on the audience's cognitive ability and also extends human capabilities.The problem of the fictionality perspective of Walsh's rhetoric lies in the difficulties brought about by interdisciplinary issues and the ambiguity of conceptual details under all ambitions.The research method of this paper is mainly the comparative reading of literature,through the translation and inductive comprehension of the first-hand data of fictionality research represented by Richard Walsh,combined with the researches of outstanding theorists in the current fictionality research field,which grasps Walsh's rhetorical perspective of the fictionality through the analyzing and contrasting perspective.
