Since the linguistic turn of philosophy was put forward in the 20 th century, language has become a new starting point of philosophical study. The turn also opened a new era of research for historical philosophy, and brought the "linguistic turn" of contemporary cultural politics of Marxism——Laclau and Mouffe's theory about discursive hegemony.Laclau and Mouffe 's theory came into being in the stage of "post Ford" in capitalist society. At this stage, the socialist movement is faced with new challenges in European. This theory is the result of the "adjustment" for strategy of European socialist movement, which is put forward by Laclau and Mouffe after they integrated the essence of postmodernism and post-structuralism and is regarded as the contemporary development of Marx's doctrine. The political theory of Laclau and Mouffe is based on their discourse theory. The discourse theory advocates the decisive function of discourse to objects, and holds that all existence is utterance.Through the theory, they try to completed the deconstruction on integrity and identity, and attempt to deconstruct the regularity and objectivity in the process of historical substitution and the status of the proletariat in revolution. On this basis,a new theory of hegemony is formed, and it advocates that political identity could be achieved by the articulation among the subject positions. They believe that because of the diversity and otherness of modern society, the class alliance,as the "subject" of the socialist struggle, has become more and more unable to play its effect, but the revolutionary enthusiasm of some disadvantaged groups isolated on the edge of the society is rising. In the face of this,Laclau and Mouffe think that the task of struggle should be shifted to the construction of culture and ideological discourse. In a specific discourse context, the fragmented identity could be widely absorbed into the same political group through the articulation under confrontation, and a form of democracy that different from western capitalistic democracy could be realized through this strategy. This radical democracy contains more differences, thus the socialist democracy is not necessarily to depend on the violent struggle, but can be transformed from capitalist democracy in a peaceful way.Laclau and Mouffe believe that this is the right direction of contemporary socialist movement.Certainly, this view is limited, but as a theoretical exploration of the contemporary socialist movement in the Europe,Laclau and Mouffe's theory of discursive hegemony still has own flashing points. The microcosmic perspective of the political research in their theory and the attention to the struggle for discursive hegemony provide positive inspirations for the socialist construction with Chinese characteristics.
