The frescoes of Wenshu Temple in Yanshan Temple in Fanshan,Shanxi Province are one of the more valuable large-scale Buddhist temple murals in the Song and Jin Dynasties in China.The fresco is very rich in content,superb arts and exquisite style,delicate and rigorous style.Although the styles of the Eastern and Western wall paintings in Wenshu Temple are slightly different,they all reflect the exquisite and splendid style of Northern Song Dynasty.This article explores the Yanshan Temple frescoes in five parts: The first part summarizes the current academic research on the Yanshan Temple frescoes and the significance and innovation of this article.The second part is about the contents of the frescoes in the Wenshan Temple of Yanshan Temple and the artist Wang Yan.Make a detailed elaboration,and in this chapter correct two images of West Lake stories that were previously misunderstood and disagree by scholars;the third part traces the origins of the relationship between the images and paintings of Yanshan Temple murals,from the composition of the murals,figure paintings,and landscape paintings.Three aspects of modeling are analyzed and elaborated,inferred that the image may be based on the powder and the relationship between Wang Xie's paintings;the fourth part compares the Yanshan Temple fresco with the contemporary Chongfu Temple in Jin Dynasty and the Kaihua Temple in the Northern Song Dynasty.The unique image features of the Yanshan Temple frescoes are sorted out from five aspects of mural theme content,composition,modeling,color,and painting techniques.The fifth part analyzes the painting intention of the Wenshu Temple fresco,and expounds the reasons for the specific content of the theme content and story images.The sixth part is the conclusion of the paper.Through the traces of Yanshan Temple fresco images,the following summarizes: First,the image style of Yanshan Temple fresco west wall mainly embodies the traditional figure painting of Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty,the characteristics of Li Guo's ink landscape painting in the end of the Northern Song Dynasty,and the realism of the body painting and the customs painting.Characteristics;Second,the image of the east wall of the Yanshan Temple reflects the influence of the retro trend of painting in the late Northern Song Dynasty: figure lines are fine and smooth,no weight changes,there are ancient paintings of Jin Tang figure paintings,and the green landscape painting is the traditional style of Li Simun's green landscapes.The continuation and development of the project are endless and the pursuit of returning to the artistry of returning to the original.Third,in the process of creation of the Yanshan Temple Wenshu Temple fresco,in addition to the reference to the Buddhist classics,the artist also refers to some folklore folklore and change literature.The images of the demons and ghosts in the two walls refer to the ghosts in the mural paintings used by the court painters of the Northern Song Dynasty.IV.The author concludes that there are mainly two influencing factors in the intention of the creation of the frescoes in the Wenshu Temple.The artist's personal feelings and the popularity of the story of the devil's mother in the Song Dynasty..The Yanshan Temple frescoes are full of all the people's homes.The winds of the Tang and Song Dynasties are all on the same wall.The exquisite painting techniques and unique style make it a very rare Song and Jin painting quality.
