In the process of socialist modernization road, foreign publicity which is a major ideological and theoretical issues related to the fate of the party and the country has been supporting the foreign propaganda work smoothly. Since thirty years of reform and opening up, according to the time of transformation, to the needs of creating a good image of the country and finishing foreign publicity mission, the Communist Party put forward many subtle publicity ideas on how to improve the foreign propaganda work in succession with the development of the foundation. It play an important guiding role for our publicity work. This paper mainly studies the development of the Party's foreign publicity thought since reform and opening up, on the one hand we can fully understand and grasp the ideological content of the publicity, the connotation and law; on the other hand, we can further strengthen and improve our Our external publicity work in the new trend of foreign publicity thought.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part analysis the inevitability of the Communist Party of China foreign publicity and ideological development since the reform and opening up to the outside world.And realizes the urgency of the transformation of the foreign publicity thought under the background.In the second part, this paper discusses the course of the Chinese Communist Party foreign publicity thought since the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, let the world understand China's foreign propaganda and ideological exploration in the beginning of reform and opening up,and adapt to the advance of foreign propaganda thought in the period of socialist market economic construction, to construction of the prosperity of the socialist harmonious society in foreign propaganda thought, to realize the dream of China in the new period of foreign propaganda and ideological innovation four historical stages of development.The third part is about the new trend of foreign publicity, and puts forward some ideas about improving and strengthening the propaganda work.
