| Based on high degree of corruption is related to the survival of the ruling party and the country, in recent years, CCP and Chinese government fights against corruption in a severe and high-sounding way. From the perspective of government trust, it is still waiting to be empirical tested that whether anti-corruption actions have a significant effect on government trust. We made a questionnaire survey for 729 college students from N university by using cluster sampling method. The result shows that college students have a relative strong sense of trusting in government. Most college students have a positive comment on the measures and effect of anti-corruption. Hierarchical regression results indicate that style of cadres, public awareness of corruption and intensity of anti-corruption has a significant impact on the college students’ trust of government. Path analysis confirmed the officials working style and anti-corruption efforts have a significant impact on government trust:improving the officials working style can enhance the government responds, lower levels of college students’ perception of corruption, and then promoving the government credibility level of college students; anti-corruption efforts is the same as officials working style. It is worth noting that the impact of anti-corruption efforts of the government trust is a two-way, intensify anti-corruption efforts in enhancing trust in government, it would also reduce the students’ evaluation of the work style of officials, and then increasing the level of perceived corruption of college students, weakened government responsiveness, eventually have a negative impact on trust in government. In addition, the gap between rich and poor, and the bureaucratic atmosphere, a sense of social justice and social trust also significantly affect college students trust in government. These finding indicate that: the construction of a clean and honest administration focused on the style and strong anti-corruption currently can significantly affect on college students’ trust toward to government, and further, enhance trust in government is not limited thereto, but also committed to narrowing the wealth gap, increase social equity, enhance social trust. |
