To discuss the origins of totalitarianism, the massacre and the concentration camp was the key point of Arendt's political philosophy. That is why she advanced “the radical evil” and “the banality of evil”. Because the producer of the massacre never aim to achieve any utilitarian target. The radical evil of 20 t h century was a brand new history event. “The banality of evil” under the totalitarianism reflected in the obedient behaviors of thoughtless and disoriented of the public. That behaviors encouraged and indulged the Nazi's evil and finally lead to the extremely cruel worldwide catastrophe. For this reason, to rebuild the public domain, advocate the activity political life, promote self- contemplative faculty and judgment should be the only way to avoid the totalitarianism and “the radical evil”.The main body of his thesis have four parts: the first part is how did Arendt's “evil theory” established. The second part is the roots and influence of “the radical evil” under the totalitarianism. The third part is about the relationship of “the radical evil” and “the banality of evil”, the characters of “the banality of evil” and the disastrous consequences.
