so far, the election system and the representative system as well as the political party system together, have become the three pillars of the modern democratic system.The modern democratic system is on the basis of political party politics, which is built through the electoral system. The electoral system has profound theoretical connotation, and it is also a important way to investigate the representative system.The democracy in modern sense grew in the infancy of the bourgeois revolution, so was the electoral system, which is the foundation and an important part of democracy.However, history is always full of exceptions, the electoral system problems in British appeared in the British House of commons first. On the basis of the important status of "empire of the sun”and its improved electoral system in world history, and by studying the reformation history causes, conditions, contents of British modern electoral system as the research object as well as by answering why Britain produced and insisted the electoral system, to study the reformation situation of the modern British electoral system. Around this core, first of all, from a historical point of view to trace the source of the modern British electoral system and look for the footprints of the development in history,analysis its experience of reformation;secondly, based on the historical reality, by using the logical thinking to analysis the subjective and objective condition of British modern electoral system from the aspects of politics,economy, culture, war, etc. Eventually, the essay will expound the necessity and possibility of its reformation according to history.
