Analysis Of Sports Broadcasting Rights According To Copyright Law

Since the successful 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the status of international sports of China has been elevated soon. After lined with international standards, the commercial development of sports in our country is very fast. The sports broadcasting fee is also raised quickly due to the increasing passion for sports in our country.However, in the judicial practice, most of the cases of sports broadcasting rights faced with the lack of legal basis. First of all, the nature of sports broadcast rights still has huge controversy.Whether it can be protected by Copy Law of our country is still a question. In addition, with the development of internet technology, the protection of sports broadcasting network infringement also become more and more difficult. Because of the difficulty of defining the nature, the lack of legal protection and rapid development of Internet infringement technique make, the sports broadcasting rights protection in our country is facing enormous challenges.This paper consists of four parts. In the first part, the author will briefly describe the definition, development and significance of sports broadcasting rights. In the second part, the nature of sports broadcasting rights will be analyzed. Then the third part is mainly about the status of sports broadcast rights infringement in the age of information. Finally, there will be the suggestions about how to protect sports broadcasting rights in the age of information in the fourth part.
