The Study On The Construction Of The Caurrent Rural Protestanism

With the development of the rural economy,the traditional lifestyle of the rural area is influenced by the external forces.As a result,the spiritual life of the rural is changing a lot.Among their spiritual life,as the representative of western culture,Protestantism is called foreign religion in rural area where are deeply dominated by the traditional culture of China.In spite of this,Protestantism already has 26 million followers who are mostly from the rural areas,since the beginning of its spread in China in 1807.Throughout the history of China's Protestantism,there are many intense conflicts between foreign religion and traditional culture.With the reform and opening up policy is deepening in China,every citizens have the right to deserve a religious freedom.But the development of the rural Protestantism is also has a lot of problems and has a negative impact on the rural construction.So,the rural Protestantism should be valued,the way of the rural church construction which should serve the construct of the new socialist countryside should be explored.This thesis,based on the theory of religious organization,and on the basis of a clear definition of the concept of Protestantand the Church,starting from the three subjects such as the organization,clergy and believers in rural churches,the development status,religious practice,characteristics and existent problems of the various subjects in the church are discussedto show the status of the church construction in rural Protestant comprehensively.On this basis,the thesis from the government and the Church two aspects explored two feasible paths of rural Protestant church construction,through these two paths,taking the rural Protestant construction into the socialist new rural spiritual civilization construction system,so that the rural church as a social organization,playing an active role for rural construction.For in-depth understanding of the religious participation of Protestant believers in rural areas,the article was based on qualitative research,supplemented by quantitative research.The author has conducted a large number of interviews with church clerics and believers,and a long period of participation in religious sites and religious activities.These have laid the foundations for deeper understanding of rural Protestant.In addition,the literature is used to gather information about the church,and the basic situation and demographic characteristics of believers are collected by means of questionnaires.This study draws the following conclusions: firstly,the construction of rural Protestant Church organization is inseparable from three subjects such as church institutions,clergy and believers.Secondly,the relationship between the rural Protestant church and the three subjects is mutually promoted and constructed.In these three subjects,the Church and its institutions are the bridge between the government and Protestant.It is the executor of “Three-Self” Patriotic Movements of the Protestant.And the clergy are the builders of churches and group of believers,it is the most important subject in the rural churches,which is the bond between churches and believers.The believers are the main components of the rural churches.Finally,the main problem of the current rural churches is that the church system is difficult to implement,the training of clergy is insufficient,andthere is a great difference of individual understanding ability between the farmer believersand so on.
