The Study Of Chinese Image From The Perspective Of North Korean Media

National image shaped by mass media.That is to say,media,by virtue of its communication advantages,shape the image of its country by specific report at the same time of transmitting information and guiding public opinion.The relationship between China and North Korea has the historical origins of "if the lips are gone,the teeth will be cold".However,with the end of the Cold War pattern,the relationship between China and North korea is always rise and fall,and every now and then there are tensions and relaxation.Therefore,it is very useful to accurately grasp the image of China from the perspective of North Korea,to correctly understand the relationship between China and North Korea and to promote the mutual understanding.According to the report of North Korea<Rodong Sinmun>,based on the foundation of national image and agenda setting theory,this paper comprehensively uses the method of content analysis,text analysis,comparative analysis and inductive reasoning to research quantitatively and qualitatively.Trying to research the China image constructed by<Rodong Sinmun>reports in 2012-2016 and analyze the factors of the Chinese image contructed by it.The research showed that from the micro perspective of national image to inspect the relationship between China and North Korea,there is no substanstial change in relationship so far.But due to the existence of the North Korean nuclear issue and the development of the relationship between China and South Korea,there has a tendency that obviously alienates each other.From the China-Related Report in<Rodong Sinmun>involved in coverage change,taking January 2013,July 2014,April 2016 as the node,all has a change in the number of coverage.Only focused on the China-related Reports in<Rodong Sinmun>,North Korea showed a very dissatisfied attitude towards the closer relationship between China and South Korea,and presented the tendency of "alienating China policy" on its Part Organ.From the specific Chinese image constructed by<Rodong Sinmun>,the achievements of the socialist construction is significant,but there are local problems in the political image;To actively maintain our own rights and interests is the ally diplomatic image to jointly face the threats from the international community;the military image of the contemporary military power under the leadership of the the Communist Party of China;the social image of the uneven social problems and the frequent serious natural disasters and the severe environmental problems;the prospects of the domestic economic development is good,the economic image of the increasingly improved infrastructure;the cultural image of science and technology of attaching importance to the science and education.To sum up,the Chinese image constructed by<Rodong Sinmun>is deeply influenced by the relationship between China and North Korea and South Korea,and is presented by the agenda setting and the number of coverage.The development status of the relationship between China and North Korea,China and South Korea is the critical factor to construct Chinese image,however,the changeable appeals of North Korea is the main factor to construct Chinese image.Eventually,the combination of two influential factors presents Chinese image which serves the Korean Workers' Party and the benefits of the government and has the traits of interest community.
