The Judge Selection System Is Studied

China is actively promoting the reform of the judicial system which is necessary for the construction of socialist country built on the rule of law and for the establishment of law-based governance.The realization of ruling by the law requires a sound legislation system,a scientific judicial system and a professional team of legal talents.Among the legal talents,the most important is to build a high-level and specialized team of judges.the importance of the judge selection system.The judge is the last safeguard of judicial fairness,so the construction of a sound judge-selection system is very important.This thesis mainly focuses on the judge-selection system,aims to reveal some problems of judicial practice in current system,tries to analyze the reasons,and at last offers some suggestions.This thesis is composed of three parts.The first part introduces the definition of judge selection,the features of the system,and the significance of the system.The second part analyzes some procedural problems of this system in judicial practices.The reasons for these problems include traditions,management system,professional education etc..The last part,in consideration of the practical situation of China,provides three suggestions: raising the standard of judges,improving the procedure of selection,and establishing the withdrawal mechanism.The reform of the judicial system aims to realize two objectives.The short-term goal is the realization of judicial fairness in the judicial practice and the long-term goal is the establishment of a stable,fair and righteous society.The reform of judicial system can realize the professionalization,specialization and modernization of judges.
