Study On The Path Choice Of Public Spirit Cultivation In Urban Community In China

The spirit of urban community is related to the community building, resident autonomy and social stability. The public spirit of our urban community has experienced the disintegration of unit system since 1978, the impact of urbanization, housing reform, and the changes in community governance model. It is a development path which superimposed on a multi factor. Therefore, this paper attempts to analyze public spirit change of the urban community, which is based on the social communication theory and public communication theory. Starting from the interaction between the residents, the theory will be used to explore the way of cultivating the urban community public spirit.The study indicates that the core of urban community public spirit cultivation is to promote the participation of residents in community, increasing the interaction between residents. Based on this, from this perspective of promoting interaction among the residents, especially the interaction of public behavior, the possible path choice of public spirit cultivation on the urban community organization have three paths:first, we need to vigorously develop community social organizations, which can provide realistic carrier for the cultivation of public spirit; second, the governance of community public affairs need to change the old ideas, introduce new ideas, and develop a new type of organization; third, the community's deliberative democracy is an important way to cultivate the urban community public spirit.In general, this paper tells us that the promotion of public communication is the core of public spirit cultivation of the urban community. The relationship between the growth public spirit and community social organizations are inseparable, because it can realize the residents'systematization, and encourage residents to actively participate in community public affairs. Governance of urban community public issues and cultivation of urban community public spirit are complementary. The "unit person" to "community person" requires a long-term process, which means the cultivation of urban community public spirit is a long process, not overnight.
