| In the 1930 s,the Japanese imperialists set foot on the Republic of China and launched a long-planned war of aggression against China.Since then,tenacious Chinese soldiers and civilians had embarked on a tough anti-Japanese journey.The northeast region was the first to suffer.When the nation’s existence was in peril,the Communist Party of China assumed the important task,leading valiant soldiers to fight against the invasion to the last drop of our blood,in an effort to achieve national independence and liberation which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese fascism.It is this history that has set the groundwork for the great spirit of northeastern people’s fighting against the aggression of Japanese and played an essential role in the war against the aggression of fascists in China and in the world.The historical conditions,basic connotations and characteristics of the Northeast anti-Japan union spirit were summarized in the first part of the paper.The spirit was born when the nation’s existence was in peril when massive tenacious soldiers and civilians fought against the aggression of Japanese under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.Its connotation can be summed up as follows: patriotism characterized by loyalty,dedication and courage in face of national crisis;the spirit of sacrifice,by unyielding and giving one’s life;the spirit of hard struggle,by persevere and tenacity;and the spirit of internationalism,by sharing of weal and woe and solidarity.Its characteristics are mainly manifested in prominent heroism of the soldiers,rare long-term struggle and typical international cooperation with the North Korea and the Soviet Union.The historical position of the Northeast anti-Japan union spirit was summarized in the second part of the paper.It was the spirit that had supported the northeastern people to fight against the aggression for fourteen years and that had inspired them to be courageous and determined about the fight.It exhibited their heroic fight and indomitable willpower.It also fully reflected solidarity,ceaseless self-improvement,peace and stability of the Chinese nation and What’s more,its determination of fighting for national independence and liberation.The spirit embodies the excellent quality and sublimates the revolutionary spirit of the party,representing a valuable spiritual treasure for the Chinese Communist Party.The contemporary values and enlightenment of the Northeast anti-Japan union spirit were presented in the third part of the paper.The spirit offers mental strength for national prosperity and rejuvenation and comprehensive deepening reform and therefore the reaching of the "China Dream".Moreover,the spirit can guide contemporary core values and represent a banner for practical style of work and honesty of contemporary communists,a powerful weapon to consolidate the ruling position of the party and a fundamental guarantee of unswervingly taking the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics.The spirit declares that our firm ideals and beliefs are the cornerstone of ideological thought to overcome all difficulties;the Chinese people are able to undertake the sacred mission of safeguarding the country;the spirit of hard struggle is the precious legacy of the Communist Party of China;and we should inherit the spirit of selfless dedication of the party and closely connect individual fate with that of the country. |
